Light danced upon the stone wall as dawn broke over The Miller’s Mountains to bathe the small town of Riverton in a comforting, dependable light. The workmen awoke from their bunks in the Common House to start the new day, tending the barley fields and the apiaries, brewing the country’s finest meads and beers. The Mayor looked out from his reasonably-ornate bedroom window to smile over his town. And Mike Hunt produced a mighty belch that rattled the stained glass windows of the Temple.
Judging from the the snowy bootprints that led to the pew he occupied, he had come down from the mountain. Judging by the bump on his head, it probably wasn’t his idea. But that was all he knew; the fall or the sudden stop at the end had rendered him amnesiac.
His poor treatment of the priestess Minri Tull led the Paladin Rooster N. Spheres to intervene, setting Mike on the righteous path of Clericdom. Joining with the Eladrin Wizard Nicholas Freeman, the party moved to the Riverton Meadery and Inn, followed by a shadowy figure.
After many drinks were purchased indirectly by the Reverend Hunt, the group took notice of a form glancing in through the foggy window. Nick Freeman caused a powerful thunderclap to explode directly beside the figure, forcing her to come spilling through the window. She was revealed to be Ellithe, a shadarkai rogue, whose motivations were vague and mysterious. She more or less joined the party, who had just overheared a story about a rogue mage. Thirsting for adventure (and inferring a promise of wealth), the group was joined by Turim Moss, an elder adventurer that had seen the Temple of the Rogue Mage personally.
Upon arrival, Turim Moss was promptly gunned down by a decrepit skeleton. Revenge was wrought quickly upon him by the party, who quickly dispatched another team of skeletons.
Now the party must solve the mystery of the Four Staves, or risk certain doom in: THE TEMPLE OF AUGUSTIN.
